CardAccept.com Review
Merchant Maverick's Rating: (3 out of 5)

Last Updated: April 20th, 2010.
Overview:
Coming into this review, I thought CardAccept.com was gonna be another average company, reason being, they're owned by Pipeline Data, Inc....I was right.
If you haven't read my reviews of Charge.com, Paynet Systems and SecurePay, you might want to do so because all are subsidiaries of Pipeline as well.
From the time that I originally wrote this review, until now, CardAccept.com went from a "B-" to an "F" on the BBB website. Apparently they don't find it necessary to respond to complaints, which is obviously a bad thing for you and I. With that said, I am happy that they don't have more complaints than they do. They've been operating since 1998, so they've been around long enough to rack 'em up.
They do have a Twitter account, which is nice.
I'm going to have to give them a 3 out of 5 for now.

Date Established:
1998.
Location:
Quincy, Massachusetts.
Domain Name(s):
www.cardaccept.com.
Parent/Partner Company:
CardAccept.com is another subsidiary of Pipeline Data, much like Charge.com and Paynet Systems. I can't say that I love Pipeline, as you've probably already read, but I'm not going to hold that against CardAccept.com...too much.
Type:
Registered sub-ISO/MSP of Pipeline Data Processing.
Acquiring Bank(s) (Acquirer):
Meridian Bank.
Payment Processor(s):
Pipeline Data Processing.
Payment Gateway(s):
Authorize.Net.
Trust Symbols:
Here's the CardAccept.com BBB profile. It has a "F" rating as of this review, with 9 complaints in the last 36 months.
I wasn't able to find the corporate information for Card Accept, Inc., so I'm assuming that it was merged into Pipeline Data, Inc. You can see that Pipeline is the owner of the domain here.
Negative Reviews:
I was only able to find a few complaints on RipOffReport.com, which isn't bad at all for a company that's been around since 1998.
Common Complaints:
Couldn't find any common complaints, but the only thing that I'd watch out for is "contract terms" that you might not have known existed. I'm not accusing them of anything, but it's always better to be safe than sorry. Read your contract, scrutinize it, and make sure it's all on the up and up.
Verifiable Testimonials/References:
No testimonials on the CardAccept.com site.
Security/Privacy:
CardAccept.com is secured by McAfee.
Customer Service:
I've never had an account with CardAccept.com, so I haven't personally dealt with their customer service.
Contract Duration:
The CardAccept.com contract is month-to-month, but be sure to read your contract as their have been a couple complaints of contract terms.
Cancellation Fee:
I was told there is no early-cancellation fee, but the same level of diligence on your part, should be applied here as well.
Interchange-Plus Pricing:
They do offer interchange-plus.
Seasonal Downtime:
Seasonal downtime is also offered by CardAccept.com.
Product/Service Offering:
Retail (Credit/Debit), Internet (e-Commerce), Mail Order/Telephone Order (MOTO), Wireless.
Product/Service Specialty:
None.

I’ll be the first to leave a comment. I just was approved for them. All of my emails back and forth with them have been from xxx@cardaccept.com Even the online app stated cardaccept.com. However, the approval email I got was from charge.com. Now I am a bit nervous!
I will update as soon as I start to process.

I’m in the process with them, and have been a bit worried… but I used to use Charge.com and they were good, so it might not be too bad. I hope this works out for the both of us!
