Eagle Merchant Services Review

Merchant Maverick's Rating: (4.5 out of 5)

Last Updated: April 11th, 2010.

Overview:
Eagle Merchant Services (EMS) has been in business since 1996, and still doesn't have any complaints. Well, I take that back, just 1 complaint on the BBB, but still not bad.

They have plenty of testimonials listed on their site, but they'd be difficult to verify because the merchant's company name isn't included. I'd like to see some fully-disclosed (full-name, company name) testimonials in the near future.

Couldn't find a Facebook or Twitter profile for EMS, but they do have a nice blog.

Seasonal downtime and interchange-plus pricing are both offered by EMS, and their website is data secured by a Trustwave SSL certificate, so your personal information will be safe.

Eagle Merchant Services gets a 4.5 out of 5 rating.

There are a few testimonials on the EMS site, and although they include the merchants full name, they don't include the company, so it'd be impossible to get in touch with those merchants. Be sure to ask for references.

Customer Service:
I received a personal email from the President of the company, who was very informative with her responses. It was refreshing to see full explanations instead of quick one-liners that I've seen from some of these other guys.

Seasonal Downtime:
Seasonal downtime is also offered by Eagle Merchant Services, but you will be required to keep your account active for at least 6-months out of the year.
