Frontline Processing Review

Merchant Maverick's Rating: (5 out of 5)

five-stars

Last Updated: April 18th, 2010.

Overview:
I have to admit that I'm very impressed with Frontline Processing's track record. They've been around for over a decade, yet I couldn't dig up a single negative review on them. Not to mention they have some excellent "letters of reference" (aka "testimonials") listed directly on their site from past customers that have been happy with Frontline's service. I'm talking references from some high profile clientele folks, including three different Chamber's of Commerce.

Offering seasonal downtime and interchange-plus pricing obviously helped out their score in a big way, and of course, the "A+" BBB score didn't hurt either.

I gave Frontline a 5 out of 5 rating, which most of you know is a rarity here at MerchantMaverick.com. They definitely deserve it though, so keep it up guys!

  1. We really appreciate the review! We have had several hits off of this website. We take alot of pride in how we do things and our customer service support is phenomenal.

  2. I recently had my account closed without any advanced warning and no clear reason to why. I was only told:

“You processed for a short period of time, then halted. Upon resuming, the account was sent back to underwriting. Upon review of your account and processing history (here and with other processors). We do not feel secure in continuing the card services agreement and are closing the account effective immediately”.

I told the sales rep prior to opening the account that I will have down periods but I don’t mind paying the standard fees each month to keep the account going. Company did not seem to mind taking all the fees during the down period.

Shutting down our account during our most active period of the year is a painful experience.

I am now working to resolve this through the BBB.

I will provide an update to let the community know the outcome.

Thank you Merchantmaverick for this fourm and service. I used you in my selection of frontline processing and plan to continuing to using your service as a tool in the future.

    • Update. I finally got the details I was looking for. Still not happy with short notice of cancelation.

    • Frontline Processing cannot underwrite a merchant selling any products who also have a history of being involved with the selling of unlicensed software. Upon seeing your return, our Risk dept sent the account back thru underwriting, this uncovered accounts with other processors that you had mutliple accounts with, with many complaints and that you were in violation of their terms of service. Therefore the account was closed immediatly. This was also resolved with the BBB as such. Frontline Processing continues to maintain an A+ rating with BBB.

      • Very interesting. Maybe since I can’t seem to get any one at the company to answer this question via email I can get this answer in this fourm:

Why has this company taken statemens fee and minimum billing fee totaling $30 per occurance if this company has closed my account? Request for explaination submitted to fronline on 1/3/2011. Still no response.

  3. Can you say unconscionable contract? Frontline kept $15,000 of my reserve account as an early termination fee. I was with them over the 3 year mark, and the contract auto renewed. They applied 3 months of average processing which thankfully was receding as I prepared to move to another processor. Long story short, when I was preparing to notify Frontline to not renew my contract within the 2 month notification clause, I was encouraged by my original broker to stick with Frontline and negotiate better fees. That didn’t happen, and when I did notify them of my intentions to close, with over a month and a half of no processing, they drum up this unheard of fee amount.

They kept the money and told me not to let the door hit my ass on the way out. My synopsis?

    Frontline is:

    -Grossly Unprofessional
    -Grossly Un-Ethical
    -Grossly Unconscionable
