Hi! I just wanted to leave comment about my brief experience with Curtis at gotmerchant.com. After reading the reviews and doing my own research, I definitely wanted to look into this company as one of the couple to give my company quotes. I've already done all this before, but my boss really thought we still had room to save. After Curtis looked at my statement - he confirmed that we are getting the best deal already possible thru our current merchant (who happens to be my boss's friend). He assured me that I was accurate in how I understood my statement and what I am paying for fees. He was able to confirm that our friend is indeed a friend and not pulling any strings on us. (We are on an interchange plus program). Curtis reassured me that I have already found the best rate for my company and now I know I really don't need to shop around. It's great to come across people/companies who are HONEST. The best business and personal relationships starts there. Even though I don't have a need to switch to gotmerchant.com, I wanted to be a testimonial to their integrity. He also gave me advice on how I may be able to decrease some cost by researching and working with our friend on how we can qualify for lower interchange rates when swiping/keying in. He gave me valuable information and his time, all while knowing that I wasn't going to be a future customer. That shows his character!

User Rating

Not Rated

I noticed the reveiew as I have a Google alert on our company name so I get an email anytime anything new is placed on the web with our name in it. This is a nice tool to stay in touch on what is being put out there on the web about your company, including any postings from unhappy customers. It is a great way to try to take care of those customers and turn them into a satisfied customer once again.

Do a search on Google for Gotmerchant and see what Google does the suggestion feature! I've tried to complain to them, it just isn't right...

Man, you are so right about the M. What can I say, it was early in the morning!

Thanks for the comment Curtis. I'm glad that you noticed the review. :)

You're right about the comparison chart, and although I have one now, it only compares providers based on my own rating. Hopefully in the near future, I can get a better one put up.

Ya, I figure people confuse the two of you all the time, so I went ahead and cleared that up in the review. At least if anyone signs up with you that came from here, they'll know for sure. :)

In regards to the testimonials section; You know what they say, "People are more likely to take the time to complain, than give praise." I try to factor that into my reviews, so I don't demote a company based solely on their negatives. It's tough though, because sometimes, that's all we have to go off of. That's why I like your testimonials section.
Lastly, it isn’t a big deal, but we do not capitalize the T in our name.

I think you meant to say "M" in that one. I went ahead and made it lower case for ya.

Take care!

User Rating

Not Rated

First, I would like to say thank you for the review. This is the first time I have seen your site and I like the concept. One idea would be to have a page called the top ten that has a side by side comparison of your top 10 favorite providers, comparing them all in a column style chart. It could compare services, pricing, features, etc.

You would be surprised how many times people confuse the GoEmerchant name with ours. There have been a few that even go as far as calling us GoTmerchant.com, which our name is obviously Gotmerchant.com The name was created behind the idea of the “Got Milk” campaign if you didn’t notice.

I’m thrilled that someone really appreciates our testimonial section. Customers never comment on it and we have put a lot of effort into it. Getting pictures from merchants is not an easy task! We are not perfect by any means, but we really do try to bend over backwards for our merchants as much as we can.

Regarding the contract, yes we are flexible. If a merchant has already been processing for a while, than we are most flexible with them. We simply cannot invest the time, money and effort on a new merchant and have them cancel in 3 months because their business didn’t work out. We need more time to recover our costs.

We are willing to offer the Interchange-plus pricing to any merchant, but the markup would of course be higher and the monthly minimum would most likely come into play.

Lastly, it isn’t a big deal, but we do not capitalize the T in our name. :)
