Meramak Bankcard Review

Merchant Maverick's Rating: (4 out of 5)

Last Updated: April 11th, 2010.

Overview:
Meramak Bankcard has been in business for over a decade, yet they still have a very clean online reputation. I couldn't find any negative reviews or complaints about them anywhere. Then again, they don't have a BBB profile, so that eliminates one source of user opinion. Nonetheless, Meramak looks like a great company. They could have easily scored higher if only they had a few other things right.

For example, they don't have any testimonials listed on their site. Testimonials can give merchant account providers social proof of value, and if they're verifiable, testimonials will also give us merchants the ability to communicate directly with other people that have used Meramak's services.

I do like that they have a Facebook page, but it seems pretty dormant right now. If they were to add a blog, and fill it with helpful information for us, that would be even better. In my opinion, an educated merchant, is a much better prospect for any merchant account provider...win-win. :)

I'm not too happy about the cancellation fee (see below), but most of these companies are willing to negotiate, so don't be shy.

Meramak Bankcard gets a 4 out of 5 for now.
