Damar Merchant Services Review

Merchant Maverick's Rating: (3.5 out of 5)

three-and-one-half-stars

Last Updated: April 20th, 2010.

Overview:
Damar Merchant Services (DMS) has been around since 2002. Not to be confused with Dharma Merchant Serivces.

I wasn't able to find any complaints on them, so that's a good thing. It seems like they're a smaller company which is never bad, but it's always harder to find negative reviews when the ISO/MSP is small. Not enough of a merchant base.

They don't have a BBB profile, so I'm assuming that since they've been around for almost a decade now, they don't plan on getting one anytime soon.

They do have quite a few fully-disclosed testimonials on their site, which is awesome! Feel free to contact all of those business owners if you like.

No on-site data security and no social media platforms (i.e. Twitter, Facebook, Blog etc...). Not a huge deal, but would be nice.

They also have a 3-year contract term with a $300 early-cancellation fee, but I was told that the terms are negotiable. Most ISO/MSPs will negotiate with you, especially if you tell them you have a better offer from another company.

I can't justify giving them more than a 3.5 out of 5 for now. Maybe when they meet some of my other criteria, I'll bump 'em up.
