Vision Payment Solutions Review
Merchant Maverick's Rating: (4 out of 5)

Last Updated: April 27th, 2010.
Overview:
Another above-average company, Vision Payment Solutions (VPS) is definitely an ISO/MSP that I'd be comfortable working with.
They take their online reputation seriously by providing different channels by which their customers can interact with them. Those channels being Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. They also have a blog with a few decent blog posts on it.
Great BBB score with hardly any complaints, and only one complaint on RipOffReport.
They don't look like a very large enterprise, but that's never been a problem with me.
I gave Vision Payment Solutions a 4 out of 5 mainly because they don't have any testimonials on their site. If they get some up, and if those testimonials check out, I'll be happy to increase their rating.

Vision Payments is an accredited BBB business with an "A+" rating as of this review. They've had 5 complaints filed against them in the last 36 months.
Negative Reviews:
You can find one negative review on RipOffReport.
You'll notice that the merchant is complaining about having their funds held by VPS, but here's the problem with that. A merchant's funds are usually held by the acquiring bank due to risk related issues. The bank in this case is HSBC. Generally, banks don't just hold funds for no good reason, so the merchant may have had a legitimate risk issue with their business.
Common Complaints:
Since I was only able to find one complaint on ROR, I can't really give you any commonalities.

Unfortunately, there are no testimonials on the Vision Payment Solutions website.

I must ask, this seller according to Rip Off Report is allegedly withholding $9,500.00. They have a 4 out of 5 rating. They haven’t even bothered to defend themselves on Ripoff report. Why note give them a provisional score?
Let me be blunt. I am searching for an acquirer, 80+ companies on here, I have narrowed my list to 20. Three of the twenty had negative reviews. They all received an indiscriminate pass because they reacted to the complaint. One merely responded without the complainer following up. Two made the complainer shut up. Let me be more candid. I have a feeling those two companies will make it to my short list. Thank you so much for this site.
Thinking about getting the ability to take credit cards was scary. This website makes me feel like I’m am somewhat in the driver’s seat.

Christopher,
Thanks for kind words. I’m very happy to hear that the site has helped you out. Please keep us updated as to how your search pans out.
Also, in regards to this comment…
I’d love to hear more of your thoughts about that. What are you meaning by “provisional score.” Are you thinking that I should possibly give them a lower score until they respond?

Yes, I believe a “provisional score” would be best until they respond so we can see how they handle a this situation.
The nature of the allegations, as I understand them, are pretty serious. Withholding almost $10,000 is stomach turning. Moreover, this complainant is threatening a lawsuit in the ripoff report. How interesting.
Sometimes someone claims to be filing a lawsuit and I think we all know what the score is. Either they are bluffing to get someone to pay (whether right or wrong) or they really haven’t waited on hold long enough for an attorney’s secretary to break the news (the system doesn’t care about $2,***.**).
But $10,000.00 (like the garbage truck outside of my apartment on Saturday morning) will not go quietly (if really missing).
I would like to see if this company can substantiate their 4 points by defending their good name by explaining this thing away in reasonable manner and/or resolving this issue.
It would be interesting if the complainant could supply this forum or ripoffreport.com with a docket number.
