Overview:
MersaTech looks like another smaller ISO/MSP, but that's perfectly fine with me, so long as they're good at what they do.

They don't have any negative reviews floating around on the web, but they do have about 9 complaints filed against them at the BBB.

I wish I could see some testimonials on the site, and that's why I didn't score them higher, but hopefully they'll correct that issue soon. A little on-site security would be nice too. That way I won't feel like I'm giving out my private info on a non-secure site.

I'd also like to see some social media profiles (i.e. Facebook, Twitter etc...), and either a blog or a good educational resource section on their site.

Interchange-plus pricing is offered through MersaTech, so that definitely is a plus.

All of that combines to give MersaTech a 3.5 out of 5 rating. I'll keep checking back for testimonials or negative reviews and adjust my rating accordingly.

No testimonials listed on the MersaTech site. Try asking for references.

Customer Service:
Besides a few quick questions, I've never dealt with MersaTech myself, but judging from the lack of complaints, I'd say that their customer service is pretty good.

3-years, but can be negotiated.

Cancellation Fee:
$295, also negotiable.

Interchange-Plus Pricing:
Yes, you can opt for interchange-plus (cost-plus) pricing through MersaTech.

Swipe Me Now is an Independant Contractor to sell MersaTech services but also is selling other services that MersaTech is not affiliated with or condones. If you are setting up a new merchant account through Swipe Me Now than consider MersaTech as an affiliate of Swipe Me Now, if you are buying anything else than do not consider MersaTech as an affiliate.

  2. I have used this company for my business and they are nothing short of criminal. When I break down my processing fees and misc. charges I was paying 10%. Then the company would carge so many fees that they would add on like an Administrative fee for over 100 dollars that was never in the contract. They charge the pci compliance that is a lot higher than any of the other processors out there. Most charge 99 or less this company charged me 149. I asled to cancel my contract due to these fees that were never in my original contract andd was told if I did I would have to pay the cancellation fee? What??? They changed the terms of the contract not me??? They are nothing short of criminal, in the last 2 years had went from a good to horrible company. My contract is up this month finally! I have already moved to another processor! I give this company zero stars:( BEWARE!!!

    I am the Senior Vice President for MersaTech. I must say that I have never heard of Angela Zeigler nor have we ever charged any client 10% (or anywhere close to that). We generally offer interchange pricing or very competitive tiered pricing with margins averaging less than 1/2 of 1% (in fact actually about .0038 on average across all accounts). We have been in business since October 2003 and we have thousands of satisfied merchants. We are proud to be one of the few Colorado owned and operated merchant service companies but one of the ONLY that also is a gold star receipient of the BBB. We love our customers and work hard to earn our merchants business for the life of their account never just a one time sale. As a company we have not increased any processing rates (other than those fees and rates imposed from interchange or the processor which were outside our control) since 2007. We understand and feel the frustration that merchants have dealing with multiple fees seeming to coming from every direction. We will always work to keep costs down. If you have any specific concerns in choosing our company please don’t hesitate to contact me directly. We will stack up against anyone. Of course we cannot please everyone (some are unreasonable) but we do try.
