What Is Invoice2go?
Invoice2go is software that makes it easy to (as the name implies) invoice on the go. Invoice2go stands out by offering apps for both iPhone and Android with the same — if not better — functionality than the desktop software.
Numerous customizations, a fee-free checking account, and a well-designed interface are just a few of the reasons Invoice2go is a popular invoicing option.
While there’s much to love, a deep dive into Invoice2go reveals that the software lacks a few key features you’d find with some of its competitors, such as live bank feeds and integrations. Some features — namely inventory and time tracking — are fairly basic when compared to other invoicing solutions. Pricing is also an issue, as only one plan offers unlimited invoicing — and comes at a fairly high price.
Still, many businesses are pleased with what Invoice2go brings to the table. Keep reading to find out if you should add your business to that list.
Invoice2go Pricing
Invoice2go has three pricing plans. You can sign up for a monthly subscription, or you can save 16% by paying for an annual subscription upfront.
While pricing seems cheap on the surface, it’s important to note that the two lowest-priced plans are extremely limited. To get unlimited invoicing, you’ll have to pay for the most expensive plan.
A 30-day free trial is available to test out the software, and Invoice2go also offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. A credit card is required for the free trial.
During this review, I attempted to sign up for the free trial through the web browsers of my laptop and my Android phone. Neither option worked for me (I was sent to a blank screen on my phone and could not input my card number on my laptop). I was, however, able to get started by downloading the mobile app.
When compared to other invoicing options, we simply aren’t that impressed with what Invoice2go’s plans have to offer, which is why we’ve given it a rating of 3.1/5 for pricing.

Is Invoice2go Easy To Use?
Invoice2go is easy to use — at least as far as the mobile app. The setup process is fast, and there’s a checklist of items to help you get started. The app interface is well-organized and isn’t overwhelming. Navigating the app is easy, as is viewing important data such as overdue invoices, tax year sales, pending estimates, and more.
In terms of integrations, Invoice2go has a limited amount. On the Professional and Premium plans, you can connect to QuickBooks, Freshbooks, Xero, and MYOB. A Zapier integration is also available.
A lack of integrations isn’t Invoice2go’s only issue. As previously mentioned, I was unable to sign up through the web browser on my phone or laptop. However, I was able to easily download and use the mobile app, which is available for both iOS and Android. After signing up through the app, I was able to log into my account through the web browser on my laptop.
Despite these issues, Invoice2go is easy to learn and use once you get started, earning it a rating of 4.2/5 for ease of use.

Unfortunately, though, it does fall a little short in terms of features when compared to other invoicing software. There are limited integrations and the inventory feature is nothing more than a list of items. And while project management and time tracking are recent additions to the software, these features are very basic.
Still, Invoice2go has a lot going for it if creating and sending professional invoices efficiently is what you need.
Here’s an overview of Invoice2go’s offerings. Note that some features are only available on higher-tier plans.

You can also assign default payment terms to each contact.

Tax Support
You can add up to 10 sales tax rates in Invoice2go.
You can also export invoices, estimates, purchase orders, expenses, items, and clients. This data will be sent to your email in a zip file. This could come in handy when it’s time to file your taxes.

Is Invoice2go Secure?
Invoice2go is not very forthright about its security measures, but I was able to find out that Invoice2go uses 256-bit SSL encryption, authentication, and tokenization for logins and PCI and DSS compliant servers.
Final Verdict: Is Invoice2go Worth It?
Invoice2go gets a lot of things right. It’s incredibly easy to use, and the mobile offerings are impressive. Amazing invoice customization capabilities, great invoice templates, and good customer support are also highlights of the software. Additional features like project management, appointments, and a free bank account further contribute to our overall rating of 3.8 out of 5.
However, the software has some serious drawbacks. There are no live bank feeds, which almost every invoicing software offers, and recurring invoices are available only with the most expensive plan. And while two plans seem extremely affordable on the surface, the limitations of these plans won’t work for many small businesses. Instead, most small businesses that send more than five invoices per month will have to upgrade to the Premium plan.
We also appreciate that Invoice2go offers a free trial. However, you do have to enter credit card information — a requirement you won’t find with most invoicing software. Besides that, glitches during this review made it difficult to even sign up for the trial. A lack of integrations is also a drawback to keep in mind. Considering these limitations, Invoice2go can be pretty spendy compared to other, more developed invoicing solutions, especially for the price.
Despite these drawbacks, Invoice2go can be a great option for businesses that want customized invoices that can be created and sent in just minutes. We recommend signing up for the free trial to see if the software is a good fit for your business — but don’t forget to cancel your subscription to avoid charges if you go with another solution.
