What Is The U.S. Bank Commercial Rewards Card?
The U.S. Bank Commercial Rewards card is a fairly new U.S. Bank product that offers the liability protection of a corporate card with advanced expense management features and API integrations to fit large businesses. The U.S. Bank Commercial Rewards card has corporate liability, so the company (not the business owners or employees) is responsible for charges.
Described as the “all-in-one commercial card,” this U.S. Bank card is designed for businesses with $10M – $150M in annual revenue and encompasses the features you’d expect from a corporate card like expense management, reward points, cash flow management, reporting, and liability protection, while also throwing in unique travel management features like built-in travel booking.
U.S. Bank’s corporate card collection offers a combination of no monthly fees, cashback rewards, and unique features for managing different expenses like travel management, earning U.S. Bank a spot on our list of the best corporate credit cards for businesses as the best option for medium to large-sized businesses.
It’s worth noting that U.S. Bank offers three other corporate credit card options that are geared toward various business sizes and needs, including the U.S. Bank Purchasing Card, Corporate Travel Management Card, and the One Card, which is a more robust card with advanced features. There are several virtual corporate card options as well. Contact U.S. Bank directly or head to the company’s website for information about these specific cards.

U.S. Bank Commercial Rewards Card Fees
The Commercial Corporate Card has no monthly fee or annual fee. There are also no additional card fees.
U.S. Bank has a 2.5% late fee and a 3% foreign transaction fee. If you make on-time payments and don’t have many international transactions, both these fees are avoidable.
U.S. Bank Commercial Rewards Card Eligibility Requirements
The Commercial Corporate Card requires businesses to have an annual revenue of $10M-$150M to qualify. U.S. Bank says: “Underwriting based solely on the creditworthiness of the company.” So you’re business credit score will likely be factored in as well as your credit history for the past two years.
The application process can take as little as 20 minutes and likely requires standard documentation that we outline in our guide on how to get a corporate credit card.
Because of the large revenue requirements, the U.S. Bank Commercial Rewards Card is ideal for medium to large businesses, but small businesses with very strong revenue may find this card a good fit as well.

U.S. Bank does provide many support options, and in other U.S. bank products we review, like U.S. Bank’s business banking services, U.S. Bank has an extensive knowledge base to address customer reviews. Unfortunately, the company’s knowledge base for corporate credit card information is not yet built. We know that some of U.S. Bank’s corporate card offerings are still new, so hopefully, the company will address this in the coming months.
The good news is that the Commercial Rewards Card comes with 24/7 customer support.
U.S. Bank Commercial Rewards Card Customer Reviews
If you spend any time looking at U.S. Bank customer reviews, you’ll see an overwhelming number of negative customer reviews. Many of the negative reviews are regarding the company’s banking products and revolve around reports of unexplained account closures, issues with payment refunds, and poor customer support.
Because U.S. Bank’s Commercial Rewards Card is still newer, finding any reviews specific to this corporate card is like searching for a needle in a haystack. Generally, I wouldn’t be too alarmed about this and would often give a company a bit of a grace period for not having reviews of newer products; however, the sheer number of negative reviews of the company as a whole and the almost entire lack of any positive customer reviews don’t give much confidence in U.S. Bank as a whole.
Is The U.S. Bank Commercial Rewards Corporate Card Safe?
U.S. Bank does not provide information on its data storage or security practices. However, there are many built-in fraud protection features built into U.S. Bank’s corporate credit card offerings, like built-in liability coverage for card misuse and up to $100k in liability waiver cover per cardholder (features vary from card to card but all include some level of card control and fraud protection).
Final Verdict: Is The U.S. Bank Commercial Rewards Corporate Credit Card Worth It?
U.S. Bank Commercial Rewards Card stands out as a good card for medium to large size businesses with substantial annual revenue that need the ability to manage expenses, employee spending, and travel all in one place. The Commercial Rewards card has no monthly fee, decent rewards earning, 24/7 customer support, cash flow management, and notable API integrations with HR software and account software to make managing your business finances easier.
Because U.S. Bank is still growing its corporate card reputation, there are hardly any customer reviews specific to the corporate cards, and there’s virtually no information about them in the U.S. Bank’s knowledge base.
Apart from a negative online company reputation, the biggest downside of U.S. Bank corporate cards is the lack of full transparency regarding its fees and rewards redemption. We hope that U.S. Bank is more forthcoming with this information in the future and works to address the numerous negative reviews the company receives.
This card could still be a good option for larger businesses that could benefit from advanced features and want to work with a traditional bank that provides additional services like banking, loans, merchant services, and more.

Note: We use a different credit card rating methodology to evaluate traditional business credit cards, as they often differ from corporate cards in benefits, qualifications, and use cases.
When comparing corporate cards, we consider many data points, including the specifics of cash back and spending rewards, the presence of annual fees, the breadth and flexibility of reward redemption options, revenue and time in business qualifications, credit score requirements, and extra perks. Our lists of the best corporate cards include only those we’ve deemed worthwhile from multiple vantage points and often share qualities such as widespread availability, low fees, competitive rewards, and reasonable revenue, cash-on-hand, and time in business requirements.
We spend an average of 10-15 hours researching and updating each one of our lists, making sure the corporate cards included meet our internal standards for quality and reputation.
