What Is VizyPay?
VizyPay is a merchant account provider that offers debit and credit card processing, point-of-sale systems, a virtual terminal, and working capital loans. The company provides its services on a month-to-month basis with no long-term contracts and has an excellent public reputation — a combination now offered by most of the best credit card processing providers.
Along with a traditional pricing model featuring interchange-plus pricing, VizyPay offers a cash discount program. Cash discounting works by adding a charge to the price of your goods prior to purchase while giving cash-paying customers a discount. VizyPay also offers a hybrid program that partially covers payment processing costs. We’ll delve into the program’s details in this VizyPay review.
Is VizyPay Legit?
VizyPay offers legitimate payment services with transparent pricing. The company is overwhelmingly well-received by merchants on review sites and currently has zero complaints filed against it with the Better Business Bureau.
All told, we can confidently state that yes, VizyPay is legit.
Products & Services
VizyPay is a credit card processor and merchant account provider — technically, it is a reseller of Fiserv merchant accounts — but the company’s full range of merchant services extends well beyond payment processing.
The quality and quantity of VizyPay’s merchant services and its advanced cash discounting options earn the company high marks in this category. If the company offered a bit more to eCommerce merchants, it could boost this rating further.

Point Of Sale Software & Hardware
VizyPay offers various processing systems, including mobile POS, countertop POS, and wireless smart terminals.
- VizyPOS: The VizyPOS system pairs with the PAX family of mobile POS devices. Its advanced inventory capabilities allow you to add and import products through the VizyPOS portal. You’ll also get split tender capabilities, reporting, analytics, and automatic price adjustment if you implement cash discounting.
- SwipeSimple: If you just want an mPOS device and an iOS/Android mobile app that can take swiped, dipped, and tapped transactions, SwipeSimple’s card reader and app give you this and more. SMS/email receipts, an item catalog, inventory management, and in-app reporting are available.
- Clover: The five Clover POS systems offered through VizyPay make it easy for businesses to implement the Cash Discount Program and provide a plethora of other advanced features. The Clover POS systems on offer, from least to most well-featured and costly, are the Clover Go, Clover Mini, Clover Flex, Clover Station Solo, and Clover Station Duo. Our Clover POS System review details each option.
- BLogic: BLogic’s POS system requires only a local connection to run and does not require an internet connection. BLogic offers two different PAX S300-based retail kits, one of which is customized for restaurants. BLogic POS also offers advanced inventory management, employee and labor tracking, and end-of-day reports.
- Dejavoo: If you’re just looking for terminal options (rather than a full POS), VizyPay offers the Dejavoo P1, P3, and P5 and several PAX terminals.
Virtual Terminal
For an additional monthly fee, VizyPay’s virtual terminal lets you accept online payments as well as key in transactions received via email or over the phone. It also enables you to take EMV and swiped transactions through your smartphone or tablet with an ID-Tech card reader. You’ll also get complete transaction reporting, recurring billing, and customizable email receipts.
You can choose Authorize.Net or USAePay as your payment gateway (also for a fee).
Working Capital Loans
VizyPay also offers working capital loans — provided by Finova Capital — to businesses with at least one year of business history, $5,000+ in monthly credit card processing volume, and $100K+ in total annual revenue. The application is just a single page long, and VizyPay states that businesses can receive funds just one business day after approval.
These loans work similarly to a merchant cash advance.
Fees & Rates
We appreciate the number of options VizyPay gives merchants seeking a way to offset the costs of payment processing. Though you’ll face a number of ancillary fees with VizyPay’s pricing programs, these fees are all disclosed with a degree of specificity that you don’t normally see from a merchant account provider, so we’re giving the company excellent marks in this area.
Pricing Overview
Item | Value | Pricing Range | $10-$99/month |
Account Setup Fee | $0 |
Contract Length | Month-to-month |
Processing Model | Cash discount, interchange-plus, flat-rate |
Card-present Transaction Fee | Interchange + 0.35% + $0.10 for credit; 1.5% + $0.25 for debit (or $0 on cash discount plans) |
eCommerce Transaction Fee | Interchange + 0.55% + $0.15 |
Equipment Cost | $135+ |
The lowest-cost equipment you can purchase from VizyPay is the SwipeSimple Bluetooth card reader, while Clover devices can cost up to several thousand dollars—or be financed with a monthly payment plan.
Monthly Plans
VizyPay Plans |
Price |
When To Use |
Traditional Program |
$10/month for mobile only or $15/month for terminal or POS |
If you want a standard interchange-plus plan without passing on any processing fees to your customers. (Merchant pays interchange + 0.35% + $0.10/authorization) |
Cash Discount Program |
$25-$99/month depending on your processing volume |
If you want to save on processing costs by passing on 100% of your processing fees to customers. (Cash-paying customers receive a discount.) |
Dual Pricing Program |
$25/month |
If you want to save on processing costs by passing on 100% of your processing fees to customers. (Card-paying customers pay a higher price.) |
Hybrid Program |
$25/month |
If you want to save on processing costs by passing credit card processing fees to customers. (Merchant pays 1.5% + $0.25/transaction for debit card sales.) |
The distinction between the Cash Discount and Dual Pricing plans is somewhat blurry, as they both involve passing 100% of credit and debit card processing costs to customers (which is why these program types are often referred to as “zero-fee” credit card processing or just “free credit card processing“). However, the two processing models have slightly different compliance requirements—Dual Pricing compliance requirements are stricter—and VizyPay notes that Dual Pricing is especially suited to gas stations.
Extra Costs
If you opt to use Clover POS, you will have to pay an additional monthly software fee from Clover. If you need virtual terminal access, you will be charged a monthly fee as well.
VizyPay also lists various other incidental fees and fees for optional add-ons:
Sales & Advertising Transparency
VizyPay discloses all costs and fees associated with its various pricing plans and POS options on its website. Plus, feedback from merchants indicates that VizyPay doesn’t rely on the shady high-pressure sales tactics still employed by many companies in the industry. VizyPay earns an excellent score in this category.
VizyPay has an active presence on social media. Its Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Pinterest accounts are appropriately active. Its YouTube channel offers help with lots of deep-in-the-weeds merchant tasks (such as applying discounts with a Clover Station or how to do a manual entry on a Dejavoo terminal). You’ll find VizyPay help videos in Spanish, too.
Contract Length & Early Termination Fee
VizyPay proclaims, “We don’t believe in contracts” on its website. Instead, the company offers month-to-month agreements for its services. As such, there are no early termination fees (ETFs) or monthly minimums to worry about. If you don’t like VizyPay, you can go another way within a month. You only need to pay a very reasonable account closure fee (see “Fees & Rates section).
Customer Service & Technical Support
VizyPay offers 24/7 customer support via phone and email. Feedback from merchants regarding the company’s customer support is almost universally glowing. Merchants seem genuinely enthusiastic about how the company treats them when a question comes up. We’re happy to give VizyPay an excellent customer service rating.

VizyPay’s self-help resources are also impressive, featuring an extensive online knowledgebase is split into sections for Point Of Sale Solutions, Terminal Solutions, and Customer Support. The first two sections deal with questions about the terminals, POS systems, and payment gateways used with VizyPay’s processing services. The Customer Support section offers support for cash discounting questions, PCI compliance, and the like.
User Reviews
VizyPay reviews posted by merchants are almost unanimously positive, even raving. VizyPay earns an exemplary score in the user reviews category.
The company earns the following user rating averages at popular review sites:
- Trustpilot: 4.9/5 based on 2,375 reviews
- Facebook: 4.9/5 based on 52 reviews
- Google Reviews: 4.6/5 based on 243 reviews
While the company currently has one poor review and one good review posted to its unaccredited BBB page, the company has no actual complaints posted over the past three years and has an A+ rating.
Negative Reviews & Complaints
Complaints regarding VizyPay are exceedingly hard to come by. I found one report of held funds (check reviews of certain other providers, and you’ll find literally hundreds/thousands of such complaints!). I also found a few complaints regarding customer service; however, there are hundreds of positive customer service reviews.
In the few instances where a complaint is aired, I’ve seen a response from VizyPay. This indicates that the company takes merchant satisfaction seriously.
Positive Reviews & Testimonials
User feedback on VizyPay is overwhelmingly positive. Here’s what merchants love about the company:
- Excellent customer service
- Competitive rates
- No contracts
- Reliable POS equipment
Final Verdict
VizyPay offers the full line of Clover devices, an in-house POS app that works with PAX equipment, and online payment gateways to go along with its payment processing, and all rates and fees are fully disclosed. Plus, its cash discount programs stand to benefit certain types of retail businesses financially.
Perhaps more impressively, VizyPay’s users report overwhelmingly positive experiences with the company’s services, pricing, and, particularly, its technical support and customer service.
With a few more features on offer — perhaps more eCommerce features — VizyPay could boost its score even further. Furthermore, low-volume merchants may be better served by going with a payment service provider such as Square or PayPal. For a wide array of retail businesses and restaurants, though, VizyPay is a superb merchant services solution.

For payment processing reviews, we use a 24-point rubric to evaluate the provider. First, we look at pricing structure – interchange plus, subscription-based, tiered, or hybrid – giving the most points to providers that provide fair, transparent pricing and docking those that rely on tiered models. Then we examine rates, the presence and transparency of early termination fees, and any additional fees.
We also look at contract length and fairness and test out sales staff and customer service channels ourselves to ensure that the company uses reputable, above-the-board sales techniques. Finally, we take the company’s online reputation into account, reading customer reviews and comments.
