Table of Contents
Treati.io is a newly established merchant services provider that serves both low-risk and high-risk businesses in the United States. While the company has only been in business for about a year, its leadership team has over fifteen years of experience in the payments industry. The company’s website features extensive disclosures of Treati.io’s products, services, pricing, and contract terms.
We’re particularly impressed with its exclusive use of interchange-plus pricing for credit card processing, as this pricing model is usually the most cost-effective for a typical medium-sized business.
While Treati.io is so new that there isn’t any feedback from its merchants available online, we’re quite impressed with the company’s pricing structure and its flexible contract terms.
Treati.io scores very highly overall, we strongly recommend it to both high and low-risk merchants.

Treati.io doesn’t yet have the extensive variety of additional services you’ll usually find with larger, more established credit card processors, but it covers the basics very well. Here’s an overview of what’s currently available:

Treati.io offers one of the simplest and most transparent pricing structures we’ve seen and uses interchange-plus pricing exclusively. Processing rates are as follows:
Treati.io also charges the following additional recurring and incidental fees:
Note that for new accounts, your first month is free. While you’ll still have to pay credit card processing fees, your monthly account fee(s) will be waived.
For high-volume merchants, custom pricing is available. Treati.io doesn’t disclose a minimum monthly processing volume requirement for this feature, so be sure to ask about it when setting up your account.
We’d also note that the prices disclosed above will probably not apply if you’re in a high-risk industry. As with any provider, high-risk accounts will require a customized pricing quote, and will almost always be more expensive than what a comparable low-risk business would have to pay.

As a newly-launched company, Treati.io’s website is necessarily rather bare-bones at the moment. Although you won’t find a lot of detailed information, the company’s transparency regarding its pricing and what it has to offer is commendable.
Treati.io primarily uses a full-time sales staff to market accounts and help new merchants get signed up. The company offers an easy online application process to handle the paperwork and can get a low-risk account approved and set up in about one day. High-risk accounts will invariably take much longer due to the more extensive underwriting required to approve these types of accounts.
Treati.io augments its in-house sales staff by using independent sales agents to generate referrals. We have seen no complaints to date from merchants, which is to be expected given that the company already discloses its pricing and contract terms on its website.
Treati.io’s only social media account at this time is on LinkedIn. We expect the company’s social media presence to expand in the near future.

Treati.io offers month-to-month billing with no long-term contracts and no early termination fees to all low-risk merchants. This allows you to close your account at any time — and for any reason — without penalty. While month-to-month billing is rapidly becoming a standard feature in the credit card processing industry, not all providers offer this kind of flexibility. As always, we strongly encourage you to read your entire merchant agreement before signing up, regardless of how reputable the processor is. You’ll want to be familiar with specific account closure requirements and any miscellaneous incidental fees that may appear on your processing statement.
We’d also caution high-risk merchants that they may not receive such flexible contract terms due to being in a high-risk industry. Treati.io works with a wide variety of banks and processors to get a high-risk account, and some of them may require you to agree to a long-term contract.

Treati.io appears to offer customer support primarily through email and telephone but currently does not disclose a customer support phone number or hours of availability on its website. Presumably, you’ll have full access to this information once you’ve signed up for an account. You should also be able to access customer support through the Treati.io online dashboard.
While Treati.io does not offer a knowledgebase on its website at this time, technical support documentation for its Vital hardware is available on the web.
As a newly-established company, Treati.io’s customer service options are still rather basic. However, we fully expect this aspect of the company’s service to expand as it becomes more established.

Although it’s a very new company, we believe that Treati.io has a very promising future.
It offers all the services and features that a small or medium-sized business would need to accept payments; and it features simple, transparent pricing. The company’s use of month-to-month billing also makes it an excellent choice, especially if you’re just starting out and are unsure of what your business needs will be in the future.
Because it’s run by payments industry veterans, you can expect ample help in deciding if Treati.io is right for your business, and top-notch customer support once you’ve signed up for an account and begun to accept payments from your customers. While the company’s interchange-plus rates might seem a little high in comparison to other providers, remember that custom pricing is available, and you can usually obtain lower rates through negotiation.
Treati.io is an excellent choice for both low-risk and high-risk merchants alike. We’re particularly impressed that the company is able to support some of the more challenging high-risk industries, such as CBD and cannabis dispensaries. Treati.io scores very well overall, and we strongly recommend it for your business.

We evaluate and test each payment processor that we review at Merchant Maverick, placing special emphasis on certain key characteristics in order to generate our granular ratings for merchant accounts and credit card processors.
For payment processing reviews, we use a 24-point rubric to evaluate the provider. First, we look at pricing structure – interchange plus, subscription-based, tiered, or hybrid – giving the most points to providers that provide fair, transparent pricing and docking those that rely on tiered models. Then we examine rates, the presence and transparency of early termination fees, and any additional fees.
We also look at contract length and fairness and test out sales staff and customer service channels ourselves to ensure that the company uses reputable, above-the-board sales techniques. Finally, we take the company’s online reputation into account, reading customer reviews and comments.
